General Tips for Removing Carpet Stains

Before attending to any stain, it is important to remember the basics. First, blot stains and avoid scrubbing and rubbing, work the outer perimeter of the stains and work in towards the center. Only use white cloths, towels, or paper towels as to not transfer dyes and prints on carpet and immediately tend to stains as soon as they happen for more efficient removal. When using any cleaners or household remedies to remove stains, test the solution in an inconspicuous area in the off chance it will compromise the color or durability of the fibers.
